A Singapore Stopover would not be complete without a Singapore Sling ! But only if it is served at the Raffles Hotel.
However that is only the beginning of all there is to do in Singapore ........ if you can handle the heat.
The Singapore Flyer is a good way to get great views over the city and a perception of the layout from above. It is about a 35 minute "flight" and when we were there we didn't have any queues so we could have a capsule all to ourselves.
The Gardens by the Bay are best visited in the afternoon, if travelling with kids be sure to visit the kids area of the gardens for a cool off in the water park. This is all free !
But please don't be the parent who takes their child to a free water park and makes them wear a poncho !! That is just cruel.
The only thing you pay to see at the Gardens by the Bay are inside the 2 Domes - The Flower Dome and The Cloud Forest. We paid to go inside the Cloud Forest which encompasses several levels of gardens in all different little micro climates.
The light show on the Supertrees at Supertree Grove at dusk is great so make sure you get a good seat to sit and watch (it can be a bit hard on the neck if you have to sit too close).
Lots of fun and laughs at the Magic Eye Museum on Sentosa Island. You can spend hours here taking lots of fun trick-eye photos. It isn't too crowded either so you don't normally have to wait too long to get your photos without strangers in them !
